WHAT IS TIBAYMIX STA+?
TibayMix STA+ is a tile adhesive admixture that is mixed with cement and sand to improve bonding strength, workability, and overall tile installation performance.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT MIXING RATIO?
Mix:

Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly first. Then, slowly add clean water while mixing until you achieve the desired consistency. Avoid adding more water than necessary, as this can weaken the mortar and reduce its bonding performance.
WHY IS THERE AN OPTION TO USE 60 KG UP TO 80 KG OF FILTERED SAND?
For normal applications – horizontal indoor applications where there is no extreme environmental and physical stress on the tiles, you may use more filtered sand up to 80KG (or 4 pails). For critical applications – vertical, outdoor exposure, high moisture and wet areas, it is recommended to use the minimum mix requirement of 60KG (or 3 Pails) of filtered sand.
DO I STILL NEED TO ADD CEMENT AND SAND?
Yes. TibayMix STA+ is not a ready-mix tile adhesive. It is designed to be added to a cement-sand mixture.
HOW DOES TIBAYMIX STA+ TURN CEMENT AND SAND INTO TILE ADHESIVE?
TibayMix STA+ adds a component to the Cement-Sand-Water mixture to strongly enhance the stickiness and adhesion properties inherent to the cement-sand mixture.
WHAT TYPES OF TILES CAN I USE TIBAYMIX STA+ WITH?
TibayMix STA+ is suitable for ceramic, porcelain, mosaic, and other common tile types, including large-format tiles, when installed using the recommended application method.
WHAT SURFACES CAN TIBAYMIX STA+ BE APPLIED TO?
TibayMix STA+ can be applied to clean, sound, and properly prepared cement-based surfaces such as concrete slabs, cement plaster, and cement screeds. Painted, sealed, loose, or unstable surfaces should be properly prepared before installation.
